designers are natural leaders
I am spending the next two days at the Global Leadership Summit (www.willowcreek.com/summit), a program with its roots in cultivating new leaders in community churches but has grown to be recognized among businesses for its insightful teaching. One of the key traits of a leader is that we tend to see the world as it should be rather than the way it is now. Does that sound like anyone you know? Designers cannot help but to make the world a better place and it its our responsibility to lead our clients to their desired outcomes. It is our duty to not only be creative in the development of outdoor spaces but also in the development of our in inner skills common to all leaders: empathy, idealism and energy.
